Hi, I have been on HCG phase 2 for 15 days and have been sick the entire time.  Not sick from the HCG, but started with a cold that turned into an ear infection and now I have had a plugged ear for the past 10 days!  I am miserable!  To add to the struggle, I have only lost 9 lbs.  I have taken a variety of supplements from my naturopath and also a Z-pack of antibiotics!  My ear is so full of liquid that I can not hear out of it at all.  I have tried several things from hydrogen peroxide, lymphatic massage, garlic oil, heating pads, hot showers, to no avail.  My natruopath says that she would like to see more weight coming off and that it is probably not because of all of the supplements and meds I have had to take to get my ear under control.  I am very discouraged because I do not feel good, my weight loss is very slow and wondering if this is worth the trouble.   Huh

Any advise would be appreciated.

Oh you poor dear! As far as I know, ear infection is one of the signs of candida overgrowth. You must change your eating habits and avoid certain foods that will cause yeast to run rampant in your system. Hope this helps.

I got a cold on phase 2 as well, and I took vitamin C and different homeopathic remedies, such as chicken soup, lemon etc. They work very well for me. Good luck!

I ended up taking antibiotics!  Ear infection is gone, but still have fluid on my ear.  My weight loss has stalled and I am very upset.  I don't know how to get the weight to start coming off again.  I have not gone off program, although have wanted to.  I have only lost 10 lbs and am 18 days into the program.  What can I do to start the weight coming off again?  Any help appreciated! Huh

I would suggest doing the "apple day" to get you going again.

The antibiotics will stall you so likely you have to endure another day or two for it to get out of your system.

The apple day runs from lunch to lunch the next day - eating ONLY a total of 6 apples. You should just drink enough water to quench thirst (not the usual gallon). You can eat the apples whenever you want, they can be of any size, just make sure you only eat the apples. (No protein, no veggies - apples only!)

The logic is that any stored water weight will come off during that time and you'll be back on track.
