Hello.  I am new to the HCG Diet - started four days ago, today is my 4th injection.  I made the 'fundamental' mistake of not loading on the first two days.  (I  know this is not an excuse, but I was already on another 'diet' and had already done a week of eating a ton of food - just to get the cravings out of my system and I didn't have any specific cravings or felt the need to eat anything, so I skipped the load days.)  This morning (Diet day 4 and Injection Day 4), I have lost 5.6 lbs.  I lost 5 the first day, .3 the second and .3 the third.  I have also noticed that although I drink 100 ounces of water a day, that the number of times I urinate has gone down significantly the past two days.

So, my question - should I start over, do the days of loading and do this the right way?  Or should I just continue?  I don't want to keep going if I have hurt my chances of loosing as much as I can by messing up the first two days?

Any advice and/or experiences would be very helpful!

I am also on day 4!  From what I have read you probably don't want to start over.  Just keep going - and to drink a gallon of water is actually 128 oz.  As long as you keep losing and don't stall you will probably jump down in weight again soon.  So good luck!

Thank you for your response.  Today was day 7 and after a scary experience on day 5, (I felt very weak and very sick and passed out), where I gained a pound due to having to eat, I am now down 9 lbs.  I feel so much better than I did those first 5 days.  Diet seems to be working and I'm excited to see where this can go!

How are you doing?

I am down 13 lbs in 15 days and I had headaches a lot the first several days.  Now I don't feel hungry although I want to eat things I see my kids eat!  I just keep saying no!  I have a lot of energy and I feel cold a lot.  A strange side effect I haven't read about on here but my mom and husband both have as well!

I knew you could do it just keep going!
I keep telling myself that I ate whatever I wanted for a LONG time and 40 days is nothing!

I know exactly how you feel with the kids deal... OMGosh, I just sit there and watch them eat and it is painful!!!  I am realizing how many issues I have with food.  My body is NOT hungry, but my head is saying EAT THAT!  I am dealing with my head on an hourly basis!  Great job on your loss!  I am down 18 lbs in 21 days (had two days of eating on vacation).

Hope you are doing well!

I just started I'm on my 5th day including the 2 load days. I've already lost 5.8 pounds, I'm doing sublingual HCG. I was wondering what it means to do 23 days or 43 days, do you still stop at 21 days, 3 weeks off then begin again? I'm really confused. Help Huh

5.8 lb on 5th day - great job Smiley There are two popular hcg diet plan: some choose to do 23 days while others choose 40 days. Generally speaking, if you have a lot of weight to lose then the 40 day rounds might be a better option for you, but you may get tired of it around that 20th day.

Technically you should take 6 weeks off whether you complete a 23-day or 40-day plan, but many people have found that they are able to get away with only taking 3 weeks off if they choose the short round (23 days).

I feel your pain of having to watch the kids. My worst is cooking for them. I realized thru this diet that I was really bad at "my hand in the bag" for just a bite OR the "just ONE bite" concept...well it's was this bag for this bite and this bag for this bite. If I were to add it up, I'm sure it racks up FAST!! Anyway, it got easier for me as each week went by. Luckily, I like the foods that are on this diet, so that helps. I haven't done near as well as I hoped to because I DID cheat some. I have lost some tho, but if nothing else, I can say I have learned a lot about my eating habits and I can hopefully change them when I'm off this diet, which is about in 2 more days. Thanks and hang in there...you can do it!!! Grin
